Flow yoga is a fluid style of yoga in which movements and breathing are united through flowing, continuous motion. The session warms up the body and calms the mind. Flow yoga improves mobility, balance and body control.
The activity is provided by Puron Virta. The person behind Puron Virta is Mirkka Kekkonen, physical therapist/occupational physical therapist, yoga instructor, meditation and relaxation instructor and group exercise instructor. You can come to the class just as you are. The aim is that, after the session, you can look at yourself in a gentler way, accepting your limits and acknowledging your strengths.
Place: WHD Gård
Group size: 6-15 persons
Duration: 1 h. A final relaxation exercise/yoga nidra (sleep of the yogi), 15-30 mins, is also available.
The activity can be arranged year-round at the WHD Gård gym, and outdoors in the summer if the weather permits. No previous experience of yoga is required.
“I had never tried yoga before, but the activity was suitable for many of us and I got really into it.”
