Yin yoga is calm and gentle, recharging and restorative. The session focuses on relaxing the body and calming the mind through asanas that are sustained for extended lengths of time. The aim is to keep your attention on the present moment by listening to your body and breathing, by savouring the silence.
The activity is provided by Puron Virta. The person behind Puron Virta is Mirkka Kekkonen, physical therapist/occupational physical therapist, yoga instructor, meditation and relaxation instructor and group exercise instructor. You can come to the class just as you are. The aim is that, after the session, you can look at yourself in a gentler way, accepting your limits and acknowledging your strengths.

The activity can be arranged year-round at the WHD Gård gym, and outdoors in the summer if the weather permits. No previous experience of yoga is required.
